Warriors joins voices across the globe honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

”Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” The words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. might be the most magnetically, energizing salve for the soul to land in our nation’s ears. His passion continues to echo through our collective soundtrack, spurring that we dig deeper and require BETTER! Dr. King’s vision is all the more salient as generation upon generation endeavor to realize his dream of absolute equality for all. Dr. King’s requirement to, “...forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline...” harkens the call of civility and a road map legacy on our way to the promised land. “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” Dr. King called to one’s best and bravest self. He demanded an outward display of dissatisfaction and damnation. “There is a time when silence becomes betrayal” is the clearest call-out on cowardice I know. These words have always struck me for their demand on those reticent of “making waves”. Dr. King demanded peaceful involvement; including the quietest. He implored every voice to rise above injustice and achieve not just his dream; but the dream of every freedom loving heart. “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” Dr. King gave humanity a timeless checklist for the living of life. His messages delivered constant reminders of service and the unexpected byproduct of abundant joy for the servant’s heart. There is no peace for the selfish and no contentment for those run by greed. It is through service to others we find our soul’s purpose, ease, and rest. “Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.” Dr. King expected us to seek intelligence. He required the masses TO THINK! He laid out an explanation of promises made, promissory notes distributed, and the unacceptability of a bank statement with insufficient funds. He marched on Washington, galvanized grass roots efforts and allowed ignorance to be educated. Dr. King was unrelenting and yet he allowed for grace. He made no excuses for anyone, from any walk of life. Dr. King required we pay respect to our god given intelligence and engage our minds to mobilize ever evolving change. “The time is always right to do what is right.” There is not a time more “right” than today to think of what is right and our responsibilities as guardians of righteousness. We Warriors honor a man and his dream. We bow our heads in reverence and awe for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and all that he struggled to achieve. I believe today, as a nation, we join hands. I believe in our collective reflection on this great man’s willingness to put equality ahead of his own precious life and our OWN moral inventory. I believe we give thanks Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had and voiced a DREAM! I believe it is our responsibility to carry his vision and prophecy to the “promised land”. I believe we owe a debt in his honor that must be delivered with a continuing, vigilant, fight for true equality...Always! xo♥️d All my awe, love, and respect to those who led the Civil Rights Movement and the friends I’m blessed to work alongside, in my capacity as WWE Ambassador, like the incredible Mr. Titus O’Neil!! #HistoryMaker
